Module #2 Reflection
This week, I was reminded of the importance of evaluating the websites that I get my information from. I appreciated being given the opportunity to find a website that I would use for research to help me teach my class about my topic and evaluate it against the criteria given. One thing I learned through this assignment is to not assume that the information was gathered from a reliable source, but to source and fact check myself. The reliability piece and the question "Where did the author get this information?" is an important question to ask and I will be making sure that I evaluate the websites I use more carefully. This week, I also learned a bit about online discussion forums, which I do not have a lot of experience with. I used to have Reddit, and was only a lurker, and have had it deleted from my phone for many months now because it was just eating up my time, and I wasn't using it for any purpose.
